It’s a proud day when we can say that the Winsor Bishop team has exceeded the initial pledge to raise £50,000 for the East Anglian Children’s Hospice (EACH) charity. In fact, the grand total to date has now reached £51,000!
Winsor Bishop has organised and hosted a number of events over the past three years, as well as matching funds raised by individual team members to achieve the target. The latter of events being last week’s Rolex and Tudor ‘Tis the Season to Sparkle’ gala dinner, which took place at The Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts.
The dinner, which saw a number of Winsor Bishop customers attend, gave attendees the opportunity to bid for an impressive range of auctioned products and services. This included the opportunity to become the owner of one of the most in demand watches in the world, the Rolex Pepsi GMT Master II. A percentage of proceeds from the live auction were then donated to the EACH nook appeal.
Managing Director, Sophie Fulford, commented: “When we were asked to support this community project we immediately said yes. Being able to give back is so important. We feel very proud to be a part of the nook’s journey here in Norfolk. We have seen first-hand how it supports families during their darkest moments, and we will continue to support in every way that we can.”
The Nppl is situated on a five-acre site in the parish of Framingham Earl, just outside Norwich. The new hospice enables EACH to provide more families overnight accommodation, support groups and specialist activities as well as improve medical facilities vital for the comfort and care of the children.
Amazingly, the £10 million goal for fundraising, is nearly in its grasp. As the current total stands at over £9.3 million; an amount which has become achievable due to the local community and local business support the appeal has received. But, there’s still a big chunk of cash needed to reach the charity’s end goal. A goal to improve how dying children in Norfolk spend their final days.
If you’d like to donate to this important local cause, please visit EACH’s donation page to make a direct payment. Winsor Bishop will be continuing to raise awareness and funds in the coming months. Please get in contact with the nook fundraising committee to find out how else you can help.
