Since providing James Bond with his timepiece in the 1995 release GoldenEye, OMEGA have gone on to form a lasting partnership with the nations favourite spy.
Newly unveiled this summer is the OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300M Platinum, Numbered Edition. Limited to only a few pieces this special release is a proud celebration of the lasting relationship between the brands.
Crafted in platinum-gold, the 42mm case features it’s bespoke model number engraved on the side as well as many high tech details sure to excite avid 007 fans.
The glossy black enamel dial displays a spiraling 007 gun barrel pattern in 18K white gold. The 10 o'clock index has a hidden number 50 within the Super LumiNova in reference to the 50th anniversary of the James Bond film, “On Her Majesty's Secret Service.” Within the 7 o'clock you will also spot the 007 signature in white enamel.
The bold look is complimented with a black leather strap to provide an elegant finish to the sleek, eye catching design.
Turning the watch over reveals a second Bond family coat-of-arms, which has been laser-engraved and filled with platinum on the sapphire crystal case back. Its captivating final effect is completed with hand-engraved finishing in the finest detail. Through the glass, you can spy the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8807 – certified at the highest standards of precision, chronometric performance, and magnetic resistance.
In true unique Bond style, the new model comes presented in a Globe-Trotter™ suitcase bound by NATO-inspired straps. The model also comes with an additional black rubber strap enabling you to change the look of your new timepiece.
OMEGA’s latest 007 collaboration, the Seamaster Diver 300M timepiece, will be worn by Daniel Craig in the upcoming James Bond movie, No Time to Die due for release this April.
Daniel Craig and the 007 producers collaborated to create the ultimate James Bond timepiece. The new Seamaster Diver 300M 007 edition has been built with military needs in mind. OMEGA remained in close contact with the actor throughout the design process. Referring to Craig's special James Bond knowledge to help understand the sort of features the watch might require.
Craig’s influence and advice played a key role in the final result.
“We decided that a lightweight watch would be key for a military man like 007. I also suggested some vintage touches and colour to give the watch a unique edge. The final piece looks incredible,” he says.
We’re pretty convinced it’s going to look even more incredible adorned on 007’s arm! But, will it be as gadget-tastic as the likes of previous Bond watches? We’ll have to wait for the movie!
The case, the mesh bracelet and adjustable buckle are all made from Grade 2 Titanium, a strong but lightweight material. Perfect for an undercover agent like 007.
OMEGA also used “tropical” brown aluminium for the dial and bezel ring and achieved a classic look, thanks to the vintage Super-LumiNova which fills the diving scale, blackened hands and indexes.
The caseback features a series of numbers, which follow the format for genuine military-issue watches. “0552” is the code-number specified for Navy personnel. “923 7697” is the number for a divers’ watch. The “A” signifies a watch with a screw-in crown. While “007” is James Bond’s iconic agent number. Finally, the number “62” is the year of the very first James Bond film.
The new watch includes a NAIAD LOCK caseback to keep all of the engravings in alignment. Inside it is driven by the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806; achieving the industry’s highest standards of precision, chronometric performance and magnetic resistance.
We can’t wait for the movie, but we’re much more excited about seeing OMEGA’s latest addition in a leading role on the big screen!
The Seamaster is available this month, February. Available with a captivating titanium mesh bracelet, or on a striped NATO strap in dark brown, grey and beige with 007 engraved on the loop. However as you can imagine, demand is high!
