Historically, ladies complicated watches have been of great importance to Patek Philippe and in the present day this generous collection has the benefit of appealing to a new generation of female watch connoisseurs with the elevation of delightfully enhanced details, elegant diamonds, and new shimmering dials
At Winsor bishop we are honoured to be in the position of being able to offer our valued female clients a collection of superlative Patek Philippe World Timer watches, specifically created with world travellers in mind.
Patek Philippe upholds a tradition in complicated timepieces that are practical and suitable in everyday situations, the manufacturer’s unrivalled expertise in knowledge and practice of this pinnacle of the watchmaker’s art brings us these two new additions to the complications collection.
In 1884, the International Meridian Conference in Washington, D.C. established the system of standard time and the division of the globe into 24 time zones. Ever since this historic moment, Patek Philippe’s engineers and master horologists have been using their ingenuity and innovation to produce watches with multiple time zones that are both highly legible and easy to use.
The Patek Philippe World Time 7130 has achieved just that by simultaneously indicating the hour in all 24 time zones of the globe with a style that evokes the excitement of travel.
To operate this watch, your chosen location is positioned at 12 o’clock, indicating the time and whether it is day or night, and local time is read off the hands in the traditional way. The pusher at 10 o’clock allows you to flit easily between time zones and the time in any other location in the world is read on the 24-hour disc.
This ergonomically designed watch has also been crafted to the highest aesthetic in an 18-carat white-gold version with a shimmering grey-blue, hand executed-guilloche dial and an 18 carat rose-gold version with an ivory opaline dial. This delicate nuance is illuminated by the fire of 62 Brilliant Cut, Top Wesselton diamonds set within the precious gold bezel and is further complemented by a hand-set diamond, prong buckle ensuring a glamorous display from every angle.
Highly scratch resistant sapphire crystal is used on the front and back of the watch providing a clear view into the alluring Caliber 240 HU movement featuring a 22ct yellow gold offset micro-rotor and offering a peek at some of the 239 individual moving parts which make up the internal watch workings
The aesthetics of the movement are by no means overlooked as the addition of the expertly applied and instantly recognisable Geneva Stripes provide a subtly glamorous reflection of light to delight the viewer and add further charm to the watch.
The admirable feat of integrating the winding rotor within the movement of the timepiece allows for the height of the watch to sit at a beautifully svelte 8.83 mm and combined with the case diameter being an incredibly wearable 36mm makes for a beautifully wearable and user-friendly world time watch.
The 7130R-013 World Time with rose gold case is presented on a chocolate brown, large square scaled, alligator strap with hand stitched brown edging and the 7130G-016 is presented on a shiny peacock blue, square scaled alligator strap.
This well-designed model provides not only exceptional timekeeping performance of -3/+2 seconds per day, but also all the refined elegance and flawless beauty expected of Patek Philippe.
