We at Winsor Bishop are extremely proud to have been shortlisted for a record three national awards as we celebrate our 180 years of trading in Norwich. We are amongst the finalists for the prestigious Independent Retailer of the Year, Watch Retailer of the Year, and our Commercial Manager Richard Peasgood is also shortlisted for the industry Retail Star award. The glamorous UK Watch and Jewellery Awards ceremony will be held Hilton Park Hotel in London on 2^nd July.

The short-listing for the awards is recognition for the significant effort put in by the team according to our Managing Director Sophie Fulford, who added “We have worked really hard to create a fantastic contemporary environment for our customers while appreciating the history and traditions that this store has always stood for since 1834. Our product ranges reflect a growing trend towards great looking, high quality jewellery and watches. We pride ourselves on understanding our products, and to be recognised by the judging panel for three awards is brilliant news, and the team here is really proud”.

She added “We are proud to be a family owned business and to get this recognition in our 180^th year of trading is fantastic. Of course we would like to win, but being recognised by our industry for what the business has achieved is a proud moment for Winsor Bishop. We are taking ten of our team to London for the awards in early July and it would be lovely to bring back some silverware”.

The Independent Retailer of the Year award is one of the jewellery industry’s most prestigious awards and recognizes the most distinguished stores. The award is judged on outstanding customer service, excellent product displays and merchandising, unique points of difference from competitors and an industry leading approach to progress the sector, whilst the Watch Retailer of the Year prize recognises the jewellers who have built industry leading collections of watches and expertise. The award is judged on knowledgeable and professional staff – something we at Winsor Bishop pride ourselves on, an exquisite range of products and after sales support, and a strong commercial appeal.

The Retail Star of the Year award has been introduced to recognise outstanding work within the industry and our Commercial Manager Richard Peasgood has been shortlisted after a challenging year that saw him undergo treatment for cancer, but ended with him recording a Company record for sales performance whilst displaying his exceptional talent and flair for the business accrued after 32 years of working at Winsor Bishop.
